Photo session Part 1

I thought it would be fun to show some of the shots my mom took while we were in MS. There were so many great one, but I have to start with the funny ones. As you can see my usually sweet children were WILD for their Nana.

Lila did not want to sit and tried to jump out of the chair everytime we put her in it.
It was almost impossible to get Andrew and Lila still, smiling, and looking at the camera at the same time.

Overall Lila was coopertive, but as you can see, Andrew was just a mess! I'll post the more frameable (is that a George Bush word?) pics tomorrow.

My Review of Ear Check

Originally submitted at One Step Ahead

Spot ear infections at home (no more guesswork)! This clever home ear monitor employs the same proven technology used by pediatricians to detect fluid in the middle ear — a key sign of ear infection. Alerts you when treatment is needed; lets you track your child's recovery, too. Fast, painles...

Did not work & can't return.

Cons: Difficult To Use, Uncomfortable, Ineffective

Describe Yourself: Earache Prone

My 2Y and 9M olds are prone to infection. I was very excited about this product as I was hoping to be able to determine whether or not to take my children to see their physician.
When it arrived, I tried to use it on both children and myself. I did not get one reading to register. On top of that, the product is not returnable. Completely dissatisfied!

Out of the City

The kids & I are visiting my parents in Mississippi. Here's the view from their front door.

Here's the view out of the back door.
Quite a change from our suburban life. Andrew is running around chasing frogs with his cousin Benji. Lila is testing out her legs when her cousin Elizabeth will put her down.

Hooked on this Highland Home

It's a Hooked on Houses home tour blog party! So here's my first home tour. I chose a model home built by the builder of my home, Highland Homes. Take a look and tell me what you think.

I love the elevation of this home...the brick/stone combination as well as the cute chimney and arched front door. I would love to line my walk with shrubs just like this home.
Another reason I chose to feature this home is the relaxing study with the warm fireplace (not that we would ever actually use it).
Oh, isn't this kitchen great? I love the hood over the stove and window over the sink. This photo was taken from the spacious breakfast area. The family room is open to the left.
Check out the large shower and long vanity area in the master bath. The master suite and second bed/bath are located downstairs with 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a game room and media room upstairs.
I would spend endless hours entertaining on this patio. Lots of room for the kids to play as well!
