Free Saturdays at Crossfit Katy
Crossfit Katy, the first Crossfit affiliate in Katy, Texas, has a new home and we would love for you to come in to see what we are all about!
Saturday, April 9 at 9am and Saturday, April 16 at 9am
we will be hosting free workouts in our new space located at
1315 W Grand Parkway South #110A (next to 9er's Grill).
Crossfit has brought about such a positive change in lifestyle for our entire family. We are blessed to be a permanent part of the Crossfit Katy community. Our members, from teens to 70s, take pride in their training and in encouraging one another in our group class setting. All workouts are scalable to your fitness level. And a new addition to the class schedule is a Beginner/Intro class on Thursdays at 6pm. This is a great time to learn the basic movements and meet other new Crossfitters. All of our trainers are Crossfit certified and strive to help each member reach his/her training goals. I have the pleasure of coaching the early morning classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Outside of those classes, you can often find Drew or me training. And if we are not, you are sure to find other friendly faces that will be excited you are there. Come on out and see how Crossfit Katy can bring out the best in you.

Take a little trip
Drew and I recently traveled to Puerto Rico for a wedding. Andrew and Lila got to travel to Mississippi to visit family. They had a great time running in the open fields, chasing cats, jumping on the trampoline and playing with lots of family. Lila especially enjoyed Nana's meals :)

Drew and I enjoyed relaxing in Puerto Rico. Life has been so hectic that we decided to relax a lot and just enjoy the wedding festivities. He golfed, I yoga-ed. We went for a run in the hot, humid sun. We sat by the pool and while I napped and did some leisure reading, Drew caught up on a little studying (less than a year to go before law school graduation!).
Lila has started planning her future birthdays. It was limited to themes at first- Tangled for 4, princesses for 5, ponies for 6, etc. This weekend was a shocker though. We were shopping for a gift for a friend and Lila saw some shoes she liked. I told her the shoes were in big girl sizes to which she replied, "Can I have these for my 15th birthday?" What?!?! I cannot imagine that my children will one day turn 15 but I know it will come much more quickly than I expect.
Andrew is a month shy of his 5th birthday and he has also started planning his teenage years. On our way to soccer practice on Monday he told me, "Mom, I'm still going to play soccer when I'm a teenager." Andrew, Papaw, and Lila
