Meditating on the Word

"Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, Be acceptable in Your sight. O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer." (Ps20:14)
"Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you." (1 Pet 5:6-7)
"But He gives a greater grace.  Therefore it says, "God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble." Submit yourselves therefore to God.  Resist the devil and he will flee from you.  Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.  Cleanse your hands, you sinners: amd purify your hearts, you double minded.  Be miserable and mourn and weep; let your laughter be turned into mourning and your joy to gloom.  Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord and he will exalt you." (James 5:6-10)
"And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness."  Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me." (2 Cor 12:9)
"When self-doubt tells me I shouldn't get my hopes up because I'll only be disappointed, I will focus on God's promise that He has plans for my life that are filled with purpose and hope (Jer. 29:11)." ~ A Confident Heart by Renee Swope
